John Webber, was born ca. 1700, son of James Webber, of London, England. He immigrated to America in 1722 and settled at Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He married Hannah Rounds, 4 May 1737. They had eight children. He died 25 Sept. 1759. Richard Webber, their son, was born 7 Oct. 1739 in Rehoboth. He married Sarah Clark (d. 1792) 25 Sept 1768. They had ten children. After Sarah's death, he married two more times to women named Elizabeth. He died 16 Sept. 1810 in West Stafford, Connecticut. Descendants lived in Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Missouri and elsewhere.
