<p>This is a prayer for strengthening faith, a prayer that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed us—you and me—to recite frequently.</p><p>This is a great, blessed, and highly important supplication that encompasses the greatest requests concerning religion, worldly life, and the Hereafter.</p><p>This prayer includes several significant requests to Allah:</p><p> 1. Asking for steadfastness in all affairs.</p><p> 2. Asking for steadfastness in righteousness.</p><p> 3. Asking for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.</p><p> 4. Asking to always be grateful to Allah.</p><p> 5. Asking for a sound heart (qalbun salim) and a truthful tongue.</p><p> 6. Asking for goodness.</p><p> 7. Asking for protection from evil.</p><p> 8. Asking for forgiveness for sins.</p><p>This supplication contains Jawāmiʿ al-Kalim (concise phrases with deep meanings). For this reason, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed Syaddad bin Aus and the companions to recite this supplication frequently.
