YouTube filmmaker Jen Russert is doing a documentary on Lena Brock, a serial killer who targeted young men. Lena was captured when she called the plumber after flushing too much human skin down the toilet, and killed herself in jail. Jen and her crew travel to Shohola, PA to film at Lena's old house, but the production is a disaster from the start. Lena's house is falling apart, her best friend Anna's anger issues flare up after running afoul of a pair of locals and Jen's producer wants to make a slasher movie instead of a documentary. Then there's Jen's substance abuse issues; she's almost out of Xanax, with no way to get more. But that won't stop her from trying, even if it means running afoul of her ex-lover, Mandy, who doesn't seem to realize she's dead. The production gets worse. An enormous deer shows up and wrecks the Port-A-Potty, Jen has a near-death experience when she overdoses on the last of her Xanax and an 'accident' involving a wasp's nest almost kills one of the crew members. Jen flees the production in the dead of night, seeking answers and drugs, leaving the remnants of her crew to face the enormous deer and an unstable crew member who believes she's possessed by Lena Brock. One thing's for sure: Lena may or may not be dead, but the deer god she worshipped is very much alive.
