The students studied the biodiversity of the critically endangered Cumberland Woodland in Cobbitty, originally part of Matar Dei purchased by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, as part of creating a book as part of the Biodiversity Conservation Trust's Conservation Champions program. In 2012, the sisters partnered with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust to allocate part of Mater Dei into conservation agreements.
