An experimental wind-tunnel investigation has been conducted recently by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to determine the aerodynamic interference associated with the wing, pylon, and high-bypass fan-jet engines installed on a typical highwing logistics transport airplane configuration and the interference due to the jet wake produced by powered model fan-jet engines. These tests were conducted over a Mach number range from 0.700 to 0.825 at angles of attack from 0(degrees) to 4(degrees).
