This study attempts to answer two research questions: 1. Which factors drive where shrimp fishermen decide to fish and where not to fish in the coastal part of the North Sea, before and after fisheries closures? 2. Which factors drive with how much effort (measured in fishing hours) fishermen attempt to fish in their fishing locations before and after some of their fishing locations have been closed (so-called displacement)?
