Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit den Verfilmungen von Erich Kastners Roman Das doppelte Lottchen und versucht zu erklaren, warum diese Geschichte fur die Regisseure in verschiedenen Zeiten und Kulturen so attraktiv war. Als Forschungsmaterialien dienen der originale Text und dessen Verfilmungen aus Deutschland (1950, 1994, 2007), Japan (1991) und den USA (1998). Da sich das Hauptthema des Romans auf Scheidung und Wiederheirat bezieht, zielt diese Arbeit darauf ab, die Vermittlung der Familienwerte von den oben genannten Filmen zu analysieren. Die Ergebnisse sollten die Familienwerte unter verschiedenen Zeiten und kulturellen Perspektiven prasentieren. This thesis is focused on the screen adaptations of Erich Kastner's novel Das doppelte Lottchen and tries to explain, why this story has attracted so many movie directors in different times. The subjects of this study include the original text and the screen adaptations from Germany (1950, 1994, 2007), Japan (1991) and the USA (1998). Since the main theme of the novel is related to divorce and remarriage, this paper aims to analyze the family values conveyed by the movies mentioned above. The results present the family values at different ages and cultural perspectives.
