Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Während der Stadtstaat Singapur noch vor einigen Jahren für Wohlstand und wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung stand, haben sich die Rahmenbedingungen für die Unternehmen im Tigerstaat rapide geändert. Zum einen sind die Nachbarstaaten zu ernstzunehmende Konkurrenten um Direktinvestitionen geworden und ausserdem wirkt sich die neue Stellung Chinas als WTO-Mitglied negativ auf den Zufluss von Direktinvestitionen aus. Um unter diesen Umständen trotzdem erfolgreich am Standort Singapur Asiengeschäfte zu tätigen, müssen Unternehmen in der Lage sein, flexibel und schnell auf Umweltveränderungen zu reagieren. Zur Analyse der zukünftigen Rolle Singapurs in Asien sowie der Zukunftschancen deutscher Unternehmen in Asien wurde eine Umfrage mit 300 Probanden durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass bereits jedes dritte deutsche Unternehmen plant, den Standort Singapur zu verlassen, wobei ein Großteil dieser Unternehmen nach China abwandern wird. Zudem ergab die Befragung Aufschlüsse über den Erfolg der deutschen Unternehmen am Standort Singapur und deckte die dafür relevanten Wettbewerbskräfte und Wettbewerbsstrategien auf. Letztlich konnten anhand der Befragung Erfolgsfaktoren für das Asiengeschäft ermittelt werden. Zum 1.1.2021 ist das neue Sanierungsgesetz (StaRUG) in Kraft getreten und hat erhebliche Auswirkungen auf die Bank-, Sanierungs- und Insolvenzpraxis.
