Robertson shows how success causes dramatic changes to brains that make people smarter, more focused, and more ruthless. He reveals how power can be as physically addictive as any drug and able to make people worse, not better, at succeeding in the future.

What’s more, because kids will want to, observing action sports is the perfect vehicle for promoting self-directed and collaborative learning . . . with Action Science as your driver’s manual. Through a combination of book and video, Robertson provides all the materials you’ll need to get started, with the NGSS very much in full view. Predicted tidal corrections are used primarily in reducing soundings (entered on the work sheet) to an approximate common tidal plane, prior to obtaining observed tidal corrections (used on the final sheet). In the event tidal observations are not feasible, as with surveys of limited extent and where time does not permit, it becomes necessary to use predicted corrections for the reductions of soundings to be entered on the final sheet. This program will compute tide corrections from high and low water predictions. It has been written to run on the CDC 3100 Computer. (Author).
Spatial neglect is a profound clinical problem as well as intriguing scientific problem. In the last ten years, there has been an explosion of interest in this disorder, which as a result is no longer viewed as a single entity, but rather as a number of different disorders. This book is an attempt to bring the reader up to date with the latest advances in understanding neglect, at least insofar as this contributes to better clinical assessment, management and treatment. This is not a book for the specialist researcher in the neuropsychology of neglect and attention. Rather, it is a book aimed at clinicians - student and trained - from all disciplines involved in the assessment, management and treatment of neglect. The book begins with the description of four cases manifesting different types of unilateral neglect. The reader is introduced to different aspects of neglect through these patients. These distinctions include those between personal and extrapersonal neglect, motor versus sensory neglect and many others. The reader is also introduced to other phenomena that are closely related to neglect, including ansognosia and impaired sustained attention. The latest methodes of assessment of neglect are also described, as are methods of treatment, again with reference to the four introductory specimen cases.

Caregiving is the most humbling yet rewarding of all callings if you go into it with your eyes wide open. Like all life-altering events, it requires research and support from both professionals and those in your circle who have already grown into this role. For the Love of God and Family is intended to draw you into the reality of what God has chosen to bless you with during this chapter in your life. Boy, the idea of this as a blessing from God just seems wrong! Yet you will see how approaching this time in your life with a complete sense of what your role is and who your care receiver is in this new relationship will help you come alongside your loved one with understanding and compassion. Your heart will forever be tender toward this season in your loved one's life. This book is all about jump-starting this journey by helping you find the confidence and courage to step out and give yourself the freedom to find your joy and give your care receiver permission to feel his or her own joy. That, in its own right, is a God-given blessing beyond anything you have ever experienced. For the Love of God and Family will give you the tools you need to guard your heart and protect that joy while living in this precious season of life. You will see where it will be necessary to console yourself to flexibility toward ever-changing challenges. Martha will use this book to help you discover the hard questions that need to be asked, and the answers you should expect to gather the information and help you are going to require. Martha draws from scripture support and confidence while sharing her story.

This book covers the attributes of Jezebel. Jezebel demonstrates a pattern that she follows within a church. —She attaches herself to the leadership of the church. —She creates soul ties with the hurt, wounded, and discontent members. —She has prophetic words of personal prophecy, which inevitably produces spiritual pride. —She has a private ministry, outside of the consent of the church leadership. —She looks for a position in the church— a position of authority, not service. —She seeks information about what is happening in the church and in member’s lives. —She abhors any form of accountability for her actions.
