The Spirit of Humanity is about who we really are as a people and a species. Humanity is at time of change when we can grow into responsible decent people where we share and care about all of the people on the planet or we can continue the descent into greed and destruction as we are now.

The story of how a Canadian-born dentist and Houghton entrepreneur changed hockey by openly playing players to come to Michigan's Copper Country to play hockey. In the early days of hockey it was a game for amateurs, however there were rumors that some players were secretly paid. It was not until 1903 that Jack "Doc" Gibson and James R. Dee decided to recruit the best players from Canada and pay them to play for the Portage Lake (Houghton) hockey team. The team won the 1904 U.S. Championship and defeated a team from Montreal for what was billed as the World's Championship. Following this successful season, Gibson and Dee began promoting the idea of a professional hockey league and in December 1904 play began in the International Hockey League (IHL). The league had five teams - Calumet, Pittsburgh, Portage Lake, Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, and Sault Ste. Marie Ontario - and although the league lasted only three seasons it was the start of professional hockey.

A shocked Rachel seeks for answers to her many questions. Returning to her old home place in Atlanta Rachel finds more than memories. Proving that often we must step back to move forward. While the wages of sin rage anger that seeks to destroy her, Rachel finds that her life is more important than anger. Someone follows Rachel and his presence feels familiar. Secrets are exposed, bringing power and suspense that unleash a jaw dropping twist that no plans could have prepared. Proving that what is in the past, does not always stay there.

There’s a rap on Lester Netherman’s apartment door. It’s a little blue man from the planet Paranoia named Pymm. And so begins a series of misadventures culminating in a bizarre journey to a remote desert region of Nevada. There, after an encounter with a beguilingly lethal ‘sand creature’, Pymm attempts to lure Netherman back to Paranoia with him. Throughout, Netherman undergoes a rash of blackouts in which he vividly experiences three alternate identities — leading him to the ultimate personal question: ‘Who am I?'

During the early 1900s, copper mining was at its peak in the Copper Country of Michigans Upper Peninsula. Numerous communities sprang up throughout the region, but travel between towns was difficult as the roads were not paved and became impassable during the winter months when over 200 inches of snow would inundate the area. The poor travel conditions and boom period in the Copper Country were instrumental factors that resulted in the construction of a streetcar line to serve the area. Service began in 1900, and the network was extended several times over the next few years. Ridership peaked in 1910, when over six million passengers rode the system; however, it declined in the 1920s as automobiles became more popular, roads were improved, and the copper boom subsided. Service finally ended in 1932. It is a fascinating history that surprises many of todays residents that streetcars operated in the area.
