Eilis Lacey es una chica de familia humilde que, como tantos otros, no encuentra trabajo en el pequeño pueblo del sudeste de Irlanda en el que vive. Por ello, cuando se le ofrece un puesto en Norteamérica no duda en aceptarlo. Poco a poco, Eilis se abre paso en el Brooklyn de los años cincuenta y, a despecho de la nostalgia y los rigores del exilio, encuentra incluso un primer amor y la promesa de una nueva vida. The European Commission considers Construction and Demolition Waste (C&DW) as a priority waste stream due to the large amounts generated. Cantabria is a northern Spanish region where new C&DW legislation has been developed and, as a consequence, a network of C&DW distribution with recycling facilities and transfer stations needs to be properly located. This work deals with this objective by means of an optimization model that takes into account not only economical and environmental criteria but social aspects of the region as well. The proposed final network includes three facilities: two recycling plants and one transfer station. The municipality where each facility must be located, the capacity of them and the distribution network of the waste is also determined.

El present document és una introducció a l’estudi psicomètric d’un instrument de mesura a partir del paquet estadístic PASW Statistics 17. Pretén ser una guia per al desenvolupament de les successives fases –anàlisi d’ítems, fiabilitat, validesa i transformació de puntuacions– de l’anàlisi psicomètrica d’un test, descrivint les tècniques més usuals en cada una d’aquestes fases..Aquest text va adreçat als usuaris novells, tant en el paquet estadístic PASW com en la psicometria. No requereix el coneixement previ del PASW ja que es presenta una breu introducció al maneig del programa, particularment en el que fa referència a comandes bàsiques que es necessitaran en els apartats dedicats a l’anàlisi psicomètrica. A més, perquè el contingut sigui el màxim d’entenedor, en tots els capítols es combina l’explicació de les diferents comandes amb la seva exemplificació.
