The year is 258 EE. A little more than 258 years after the Earth Evacuation. The inhabitants of earth have established colonies in the Cerulis district of the Virgo Supercluster, post the meteor strike that rendered earth uninhabitable. A few small planets in the galaxy have been discovered that sustain carbon life forms. Advanced Renewable Energy Systems (ARES) provide reliable power to the planets, but water is the limitation factor. Due to the lack of water, livestock is highly regulated and vegetables are the staple food. The habitable planets yield very little water, so water vapor is mined from clouds found in the expanse that exists between celestial bodies. Water barons control the flow of water, and space lanes are filled with cargo ships, mercenaries, and pirates. All in the search for vapor. "Vapor" explores the intersecting lives of space captains, as humanity struggles to exist in unknown worlds.

"In the west during the past four centuries, a small number of thinkers like Hobbes, Hume, Darwin, Nietzsche, Freud, and Huxley have captured the minds of entire generations. Over time their ideologies have not only changed the Western world, but have taken on the status of unquestioned assumptions. Yet these views are greatly and adversely influencing current thought and behavior. you owe it to yourself -- and the people you know -- to not only critically examine and understand these influences in their original contexts, but to challenge them in their present forms. In these pages Scott examines thirteen leading ideas and the, through an analysis of primary sources, critiques and challenges those ideas from a reasoned and thoroughly biblical perspective. In the process, he provides hard evidence in defense of Christianity. Evidence you can use as you dialogue with those who are trapped in the cultural currents and have yet to hear God's voice above the confusing din." -- back cover.

This working paper proposes the use of musical selections to enhance team-based learning (TBL) activities in economics education. The author provides pre-designed lessons and templates that match the Voluntary National Content Standards in Economics and are appropriate for upper-primary and secondary institutions. The approach builds on the importance of TBL in the economics classroom and employs popular culture themes to make economics education relevant to modern students. The combination of music applications, TBL experiences, and pre-designed lesson templates is innovative and extends economics education literature. Research outlines the four major events that must be included in TBL course design: group work, self- and peer-review, timely and frequent feedback, and real-world application design (Michaelsen & Sweet, 2008). The foundations of Michaelsen and Sweet (2008) led the approach of the work, with an example of building a group environment that can be facilitated by the instructor and a model for peer-review. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of teacher commitment to the TBL process for success with relevant age-appropriate material.

This study investigates the relationship between abstinence-only education and various reproductive health outcomes using descriptive statistics and Poisson regression models, while incorporating Google search data to capture the unknown factors associated with people's information-seeking patterns. Data included total births, abortions, teen births, and teen abortions for all fifty states in the United States over nine years. Our primary analysis involved Poisson regression models controlling for year and state fixed effects. Results indicated that abstinence-only education was associated with a decrease in teen births and total births, but an increase in teen abortions, with no significant relationship found with total abortions. Google search data analysis suggested significant associations between search terms and reproductive health outcomes, providing valuable insights into the potential impact of abstinence-only education on reproductive health. This study emphasizes the importance of comprehensive sex education and access to reliable information in promoting better reproductive health outcomes among teens, highlighting the need for further exploration of the relationship between online search behavior, abstinence-only education, and reproductive health outcomes.

This paper proposes the use of musical selections to enhance team-based learning (TBL) activities in economics education in the K-12 classroom. The author provides pre-designed lessons and templates that align with the Voluntary National Content Standards in Economics. The approach builds on previous literature supporting TBL exercises in the economics classroom by using music as a tool to enhance relevance and connection with economics. This work features a how-to setup for economics educators on performing two different lessons, which are provided.
