The collection serves as a wonderful introduction to a lot of authors that I had not been acquainted with before, and also contains a few tales from some familiar faces. Among the familiar faces, The Sisters of Slaughter present Desert Kisses, a tale of revenge that reminds us that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Somer Canon delivers one of the most fun stories we come across with The Riddled Path. It's simultaneously hilarious and horrifying...There were so many new to me authors that caught my attention....If you are looking to adorn your shelves with some accomplished ladies of horror fiction, Under Her Black Wings is an appropriately worthy gateway." - Brennan LaFaro, DeadHead Reviews (abridged)

A carnival with a dark secret, forests with far more than twigs and moss and a painful reminder that it is our minds that are our strongest and our most weakest part of our body. Our imagination though, is forever timeless. Even when those seconds past midnight...

Down in the darkness of the cemetary, discarded paper lay abandoned, town and creased. Hanging on forgotten rosebuds. Behind the creaking doors of the masusoleum lurk the secrets and the tales that no one wants to tell, so they let their souls bleed out on the paper, their blood the ink, their death the story's life. Somewhere in the dark, by candlelight you find and read the tales that haunt and disturb and stay with you, even when you turn the light off.
