Jade is barely eighteen when she's dragged away from her life and family to pursue a fantastical adventure: serving as demonic crowd control. She is called to Japan to serve her life-long duty, where she finds that she is in danger at every moment. Beyond her troubles as fresh meat, Jade can sense a growing malice held against by an unknown source. Multiple scrapes and close calls lead her closer and closer to the truth, but she begins to wonder if she'll survive finding out.
