Three letters written by Major George Ingersoll, while serving at West Point. The first letter written on March 24, 1799 is an outline of Garrison orders for the four companies of Artillerists and Engineers. Captain Freeman is given command of Captain Littlefield's Company, dennim overals are to be worn the first day of May, Isaiah Burbank is promoted to Corporal from the first day of April. The second letter is written on July 29, 1798 to Lieutenant Freeman, and contains garrison orders regarding drunkenness and the punishments for being drunk on duty. The third letters is written also written to Lieutenant Freeman on December 6, 1798 and requests of Colonel Stevens the materials needed for overals.
