'"No, that can't happen...." Whispering to myself amidst the cacophony of chaos, terror filling me that my dream will be true. That can't happen to him - I don't want it to happen to anyone, but especially not him - a fate worse than death... ' Jess is excited. She's going to a concert of her favourite band, of which she's been sort-of seeing the lead singer, Sam, for almost a year. But what she doesn't expect is that there will be an invasion by mankind's greatest enemy. As chaos takes over, not everyone can escape unscathed. It's hopeless to think there's anyway to save the Caught, so Jess despairs when she realises she's lost the one she loves to the disease. But should she? Months later, she hears rumours of a cure for Sam. The problem? It isn't certain the rumour is in any way truthful. The bigger problem? It's in the heart of a forest abandoned to the creatures over 20 years ago, and it's doubtful Jess and her three companions - Sam's best friends Alex, Liam and Zack - will find the cure and escape...without at least one of them becoming infected themselves in the process... How much will she risk to save him?
