"The European Commission intends to revise Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003 (hereafter the Fertilisers Regulation) relating to inorganic fertilisers and to extend its scope to all fertilising materials. The future revised regulation aims: to promote free movement of all fertilisers and related non-fertiliser products through harmonisation; to set environmental standards (e.g., maximum limits for contaminants); to set, where appropriate, criteria for agronomic efficacy. This study aims to provide an empirical exante evaluation of the impacts of the proposed options on competitiveness of industry companies and farmers and to identify corrective or mitigating measures if needed."--Editor.
