Autograph album with embossed brown leather cover. Title page states "Album"; chiefly blank pages with engraved illustrations on the title page and 5 other pages interspersed throughout. The album contains 63 inscriptions from friends and family dating 1843-1863. Most inscriptions include a short paragraph or verse, often religious or uplifting in nature. Signers include well-known abolitionists Joseph A. Dugdale, William Lloyd Garrison, Charles Lenox Remond, and Frederick Douglass. Most signers included a location - most are from the areas around Philadelphia and Kennett Square, PA, but others were in New York, New Jersey and Ohio.
