Spiral's Edge is more than poetry-it is a journey through unseen moments, a reflection on resilience, and homage to extraordinary individuals who navigate life's complexities. I have witnessed in my 25 years of teaching, courage, creativity, and perseverance in ways that have shaped my perspective. This book is for those who exist on the margins, for voices often unheard. It captures the tension between fragility and strength, isolation and understanding. To the reader: may you find meaning, connection, and perhaps a reflection of yourself in these pages. Michael Boss is a poet based in Michigan. He has taught in Special Education for over 25 years. Spiral's Edge is his first book of poems.
Harsh. Extreme. Unconventional. These are just a few of the words that might be used to describe "The Principles of Life According to Boss." But so what? If you want a feel-good read about embracing your emotions, then look elsewhere. If you want one man's no-nonsense opinion on how to live your life, read on. Developed over the course of years and countless life experiences, Michael "BOSS" Napier has devised a set of standards he believes every man should live by-and every woman should expect her man to maintain. From developing a bird mentality, to those two occasions in life when it's okay for a man to cry, you might not always like what BOSS has to say, but you can guarantee it's always his honest opinion. So, if you're looking for a thought-provoking read without all that extra sugarcoating, if you're looking for life advice from someone who's been through it all, then give this unique collection of life principles a try-but don't you dare get emotional.
