In 1960s New York, the Italian photogrpaher Davide Mosconi was an assistant to Richard Avedon and to Hiro; he has gone on to establish himself as one of Italy's most poetic photographic composers. (He is also renowned as a pianist and founder member of the improvisatory collective N.A.D.M.A.) His photography has been included in many major exhibits including the Venice Biennale.
