इनका उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजीपुर जिले के गांव तराव में जन्म हुआ। बचपन नाना-नानी के साथ बाराचवर में बीता। प्राथमिक शिक्षा गांव के ही स्कूलों में हुई। उच्च शिक्षा वाराणसी, गोरखपुर और लखनऊ में की। एम.ए., एल.एल.बी. करने के बाद कुछ दिनों लखनऊ में वकालत की। शिक्षा के ही दौरान दो वर्ष सरकारी नौकरी भी की। कुछ अलग करने की ललक पत्रकारिता की तरफ खींच लाई। लखनऊ के दैनिक जागरण, दैनिक आज और राष्ट्रीय सहारा में 40 वर्ष तक काम करने के अलावा अन्य कई समाचार पत्रों और पत्रिकाओं में लेखन जारी है। उपन्यास लेखन की मंशा बहुत पुरानी थी। दैनिक समाचार पत्रों की व्यस्तता से यह संभव नहीं हो पाता था। कुछ कहानियां अवश्य लिखा । करोना काल ने उपन्यास पूरा करने का अवसर उपलब्ध करा दिया। एक और सामाजिक उपन्यास पूरा है और तीसरे पर काम जारी है। युग पुरुष की भूख उत्तर प्रदेश की राजनीति का एक अंश है। इसका अन्य भाग दूसरी किताब में मिलेगा। पुस्तक प्रकाशन में सहयोग करने के लिए मित्र रवीन्द्र शुक्ल, पूर्व मंत्री उत्तर प्रदेश एवं कवि का धन्यवाद । पुस्तक के सजाने, संवारने और आकर्षक बनाने के लिए डायमंड प्रकाशन के एम.डी. एन के वर्मा जी का आभार।
