This report describes a trial burn of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) laden oil and No. 2. fuel oil injected into the liquid incinerator at the U.S. EPA Combustion Research Facility in Jefferson, Arkansas. Destruction Rate Efficiencies (DREs) in excess of 99.99999 percent (40CFR 761.70) were achieved in all test cases, far exceeding the requirement of 99.9999 for the PCB (Aroclor). Hydrochloric acid removal efficiencies generally exceeded 99.9 percent. Other emission rates of organic compounds listed in Appendix VIM of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) were tested and reported.
