This collection of poetry is dark and powerful. I make no apologies for any of them as I am writing from my own life experiences. Many of the pieces where written during particularly bad and stressful periods, so therefore come from the mind of a troubled soul. But underneath many of the sad, shocking (and some silly) pieces in this book there is an underlining black humour, as each poem leaves the reader in no doubt that not all poets write about trees and fields of flowers. The threat of war, broken romances, family fallouts and internal mental struggles have all been written about in this anthology. Behind this collections intention is to highlight that depression, heartache, the "unfairness" of life should also have a place in the written word and shouldn't be quietly ignored. I recommend that only one poem per day should be read, digested and read again, repeated 46 times and then back to the beginning

A play spoofing James Bond and the spy Genre set at the end of the Cold War in which our hero Andrew Boar's mission requires him to discover who has poluted the World's supply of Vodka and threatens to polute other types of alcohol with a Hormonal changing drug unless demands for a substantial amount of money is met.

Robert Goodier has had his work published in many anthologies since 1996 and been a regular on the Northwest Poetry Scene from 1999 making his début on that years National Poetry Day and has taken his unique prose to many towns and entertained many audiences with his rhyming take on life, performing his poetry at the Octagon Theatre Bolton, Bury Met Theatre, Haslingdon, Clitheroe, Lancaster and the Urbis in Manchester which was a highlight and he is a regular contributor at Write Out Loud events. Not only does Robert write poetry, play guitar and sing, but he is an accomplished amateur stage actor.
