It's a fantasy story about old-fashioned storytelling with some short stories in it. There's a stranger who stumbles into the town of Storyteller who has to win over the entire town through the art of storytelling on their main stage. There are stories about rainbows, unicorns of different colors, a pumpkin with huge dreams, Mother Nature, and a whispering rainbow rose. There's a magical little sprite that changes colors. There's a story that decides if a little girl can stop pirates from invading her town with a dance. There's also a story about a scarecrow that wants to come alive for the sake of love. With the help of these characters and their fates, can the stranger fill in for a professional storyteller and win the hearts of the townspeople? Will the town learn who this stranger is? This is for those who truly believe in magic and some good old storytelling fun, with a magical explanation of rainbows and nature and even the Northern lights.

Each October, a whimsical fever breaks out in the seaside community of Cambria, California. Hundred of local residents don their caps of creativity and go to work manufacturing magic. The end result - hundreds of life-sized fantastical "scarecrows" line the streets of Cambria and neighboring San Simeon. They delight thousands of visitors from around the world. Some folks discover the scarecrows by accident as they tour the famous Big Sur highway. Others make visiting the area for the 'crows an annual "must."This booklet is just a taste of the more than 400 scarecrows that made up the 2014 Cambria Scarecrow Festival. Some were made by students; some were crafted by locals expressing their artistic side; and for a few talented folk, building multiple scarecrows has become a passion. In every case, the creator works out the scarecrow's theme and design, finds a place for it, and puts it up and takes it down.
