The Committee welcomes the research on the petitions process and recommendations are made for areas of further development. The Committee will, in the remainder of this session, consider the ways in which those developments can be delivered. The Committee intends to try to develop two-way communication on its Twitter account, rather than just pushing information out, and also pilot an event aimed at understanding why some demographics are underrepresented among petitioners. Petitions regimes in several countries are reviewed.
