I study the difference in stability levels of Values-Based Banks (VBBs) and Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs) drawing from existing research on general drivers of bank stability and the relation of Corporate Social Responsibility and stability. VBBs exhibit significantly higher stability prior to the outbreak of the financial crisis driven by high profitability and equity levels. Additionally, VBBs show lower levels of vulnerability to capital loss, inefficiencies, and financial market developments throughout the entire period of 2001 to 2018. However, regulations in the aftermath of the financial crisis have increased capital levels for GSIBs, rendering the difference in stability levels insignificant. Moreover, I find characteristics related to the business model of VBBs to contribute positively to the stability levels of the overall sample as well as of GSIBs individually, whereas controlling for common stability drivers, the bank type itself does not show a significant contribution to stability levels. #

In the present “KOLIBRI” (carbohydrate limited breast cancer intervention) study, we analyzed the effects of a ketogenic diet, a moderate low-carbohydrate diet (LOGI) and a diet based on the recommendations of the “DGE” (German nutrition society) on different domains of health and life of 152 breast cancer patients. During the first three weeks of the study, the patients participated in a multimodal rehabilitation where they were educated concerning their chosen diet. The analysis was conducted using laboratory values, questionnaires and nutrition diaries. Overall, the interest for a dietar...
