Abbot Timothy Wright proposes sowing a small seed from which might grow a greater respect between the world's two largest religions, Christianity and Islam. Indeed, he believes that the seed has already been planted. Christians give unique value to their revealed Scriptures as the "Word of God." Muslims speak of the Qur'an as God speaking to them. In No Peace without Prayer, Wright presents the case for developing this faith in the Word of God to establish groups of Christians and Muslims dedicated to sharing their respective "Divine Word" in ways that enhance the "other." This is not a tussle for converts but a way into greater mutual understanding-under the eye of the God who communicates this Word-to create a new shared memory. Such is a work of prayer, a prayer that could lead to greater peace. The key word, says Wright, is partnership, arising from their shared belief in the One God, creator of the universe, communicating with the human world and merciful to the repentant.

Don't be fooled by all the different stories about Christmas. It's because the real Christmas story has been under attack. As innocent as it seems, we are in a battle. The battle is not over entertaining our children with stories that make up the Christmas season. It's over making sure our children understand there is only one real Christmas story, and how can we tell a story if we don't include the ending. Jesus did come into the world as a baby, but he left as our savior. I'm not trying to take away all the stories told about Christmas; I'm just trying to tell the greatest story ever told. And it's not even my story""it's God's story about how much he loves us and what he did to prove it. It is my hope that all children will know the real Christmas story.

Gateway to More of Him was written for the hungry heart and for those who want God's word to come alive and are crying out for a deeper walk with him. Centered around his word, these poems tell a story of our need for more of him. Always challenging our hearts not to be lukewarm and our hands to keep them tight on the plow, not looking back. Realizing God's plan for every believer is to be conformed to the image of his Son. As we are being changed from glory to glory, the power of the Holy Spirit is giving us victory in our mind to bring every thought into obedience and submission to Christ. These poems will step on toes and cause the reader to ask him or herself if the faith that they have is not changing them, how do I know it can save me? It will also encourage the reader to know that there is so much more to God, and the more we seek him, the more we will find him. Lots of surprises in this book as God is aiming at our hearts with the power of his word to not look back or become lukewarm. It reminds us that if our faith and walk with him is not growing, how come? He has given us all power to live a life that should cause our hearts every day to be hungering and thirsting for more of him. It will also remind you that our God is not boring but exciting! He is not quiet in our lives but alive and real every day. He does not want to shut us out but show us things in our hearts that can make us more like him. It will make you also ask the question, "Has my walk with God become a religion, or has it become a relationship that is growing and exciting and causing my heart to long for more of him?" In the series of books I have written about Maddy and her love for Jesus, I had in mind how can I share my faith with my own children and grandkids. Maddy will be telling the story of a little girl who is finding out that the bible is more than just a book, and Jesus is not make-believe but real. As she discovers him every day in her life, not only in her good days but also in her very bad days, she finds him to be her real strength. I wanted to write books that would speak to our children's hearts and remind them that even though they are young, Jesus is reaching out to them. We know we also have an enemy who is trying to reach out to our children, so to fill their minds with the truth of God's word is our only hope we have when they are faced with him in real life. I love the bible stories about Noah and the ark, David and Goliath, Joshua and the walls of Jericho. But I think a better story is when our own children tell us what God is doing in their lives.

I would like to tell you about how many degrees I have or maybe the hundreds of books I have read. But the truth is I am 62 years Old and the Bible is about the only book I read. My wife tells me that I am dyslexic, but I think it is a gift from God to help me with my poetry. He has always reminded me that in my weakness his strength is made strong. Over and over again in life's trials I find his strength is made perfect in my weakness. So why not try something that in the world's eyes would be impossible for me to do and give God all the glory. I think a lot about when I'm gone... will I leave something for my kids and grandkids to remember me by, and pray as Moses did for God to number my days and help me to finish all he's called me to do.
