In the first year of ATEM Project following planned activities were carried out: creation of detailed and co-ordinated plan of experimental evaluation of masonry mechanical properties based on an extensive literature survey ; the first series of 20 standardised wallets were tested according to standardised compression test procedure and with the additional instrumentation ; assembling and trial testing of non standardised set-up for shear test of full scale masonry walls ;development of computational strut macro-model for simulation of inelastic shear behaviour of masonry panel with programme DRAIN-2DX ; early stage of development of F. E. model of masonry based on strain hardening plasticity approach ; preparing of the basis of European Data Bank of Masonry Properties (EDMAB).

V disertaciji smo se ukvarjali z vplivom visokih temperatur (od 50 do 150°C) na mehanske in reološke lastnosti polimerno-cementnih betonov. Kot modifikator cementnega veziva smo izbrali stiren-akrilatni polimer s temperaturo steklastega prehoda okrog 19°C. Vpliv visokih temperatur na sprijemnost med polimerno-cementno matrico in jekleno armaturo smo ugotavljali s pomočjo z jeklenimi vlakni mikroarmiranih polimerno-cemnetnih betonov. Dobljene rezultate smo vsakokrat primerjali z rezultati preiskav istih betonov pri 20°C.
