During the years 1194-95, the heir to the House of Ravensklaw discovers his identity, and begins to contrive his rise to power.In Tryceholdings Guard, young Sir Oswyn of Agincroft meets the goldsmith, Rajijih, who owns the White Book of spellbinding. Oswyn idly sticks a raven's feather into his cap and, wearing the cap, joins the annual New Year's Day boar hunt. As a result of the hunt he encounters adventures and trials for which he is not entirely prepared.Through all this, the heir to the House of Ravensklaw advances his rise to power. Oswyn fails to identify these menacing foot steps that threaten to destroy the entire Atlantic Archipeligo.

It is 1936. Adolf Hitler dispatches an undercover agent to the Atlantic Archipelago. The plan is to contact wicked Endor of Skarpingdin, who calculates on being restore to power in the Barony of Skarpingdin with Nazi assistance. Also in the Atlantic Archipelago lives the brilliant physicist Dr. Stern, whose calculations for splitting the atom lie concealed in the drafting room of Agincroft Architects. Both Crispin Agincroft and Will Freeling now attend the Jesuit school, the Borgia Collegium, also in the Archipelago. Both Crispin and Will work with Marion Runnel, who has been enlisted by British Navel Intelligence. They attempt to keep the Stern calculationsfrom falling in to Nazi hands.

The Darkling Prince begins with Crispin and Justin, his younger brother, lighting a red vigil light in the chapel of the Borgia Collegium. The burning light stands for their older brother, Tarquin, who has joined the RAF to fight the Nazis. Word comes that Tarquin's plane has been shot down and that he has parachuted behind enemy lines. That fact is used to bring enormous, breathtaking pressure.

Who will marry the young Countess of Rintoul? Who will become the next Earl of Falconstyke? For different reasons, each of these two questions agitates five of the great houses of the Atlantic Archipelago as the 12th Century presses towards its finish line. Furthermore, young Oswyn of Agincroft, the protagonist, struggles to come of age honorably and achieve his knighthood, while discovering that friendships dissolve, loyalties divide, and the ambitious struggle to grasp power by whatever means.

Since 2016, there are new legal requirements for the assessment for nutrients and substances of the waters in Germany. New assessment procedures for hydromorphology were developed. These assessment instruments are described in the brochure "Waters in Germany: Status and Assessment". The results of the assessment clarify the still open problems in water protection. The long time series of data for nitrate and phosphorus document the development of the nutrient load of groundwater, rivers, lakes and the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Until now, there are only a few data available for exposure to marine litter and underwater noise in the sea.

At long last Crispin's mother and father come into their own book at the ages of thirteen (Margaret) and fifteen (Austin). Mrs. Agincroft, Austin's mother, has died. Out of grief his father moves the boy and himself into a flat in Tryceholdings and puts the estate on the market. One day Margaret, riding her horse, Tregaron, all the way to the other side of the Forest of Harklinden, discovers the shuttered house and Austin. Meanwhile, in the background, stealthily moves the Old Baron of Skarpingdin, trying to gain control of the Forest by buying adjacent properties like Agincroft and the farm belonging to Margaret's parents, the Riverfords. Not one to remain long behind the scenes, the Old Baron emerges with a vengeance...

THE ROCK OF RINTOUL tells the 5th episode in the Crispin series. In the summer of 1933 two challenges send young Crispin (now eleven) and his seven companions into the hill country and forests of Skarpingdin. They go to rescue the remaining Stern family from the menace of the Stealth Ravens, and to assist Crispin in taking his marvelous umbrella to the Rock of Rintoul to be restored, since it had been burnt and twisted at the climax of RAVENS AND MOTORCYCLES. Riding out on their hill ponies, following the Rintoul Track, they have no idea what lies in store for them.
